Bits-n-Pieces of a Christmas Workout

This is just a short, crudely edited (hey! I'm still trying to figure this video stuff out!), 7 minute video of clips from my morning workout. (I know - it's Christmas, but gravity and atrophy don't take days off, especially at my age!)

There's a core and upperbody workout with free-weights, and on alternate days a brisk 2.5 mile hike through our woods at a pretty good clip with a 30 lbs. pack on my back. (Double the weight of my 'normal' hiking pack.)

Today was one of those alternate days.

  1. Nice job. That trails looks suspiciously like a game trail in places. Pretty narrow.

    1. Clearing trails is hard work! No sense in making them any wider than I have to.

When I first started working on them many years ago - oh crap! Two decades ago now! - I had visions of trails wide enough for a 4-wheeler so I didn't have to carry tools by hand. I soon got over THAT notion! (And got rid of the 4-wheeler too.)

I often zone out when hiking the trails and sometimes get diverted by game trails, then have to 'un-zone' and figure out where I'm at.

  2. Ive been using and gettin great results from X3 resistance bands. Much better than the dumbbells I use to use. Great video ... you'll be a vlogger by the end of the year. LOL

    1. You can tell I'm an amateur by that capcut watermark at the end from using the free version of a basic editor.

Resistance bands are all well and good untill you need to weigh something down in the shop during a glue-up, then they kinda suck!
