Made this 'sculpture' years ago out of some copper grounding wire left over from building one of the barns. After all, can't waste the stuff can you?
But it has never showed well. Always blending in to the background.
So I took some leftover rattle-cans to it
and spent 5 minutes trying to give it a little more oomph
in its native habitat.
Hummm, it still doesn't show up very well does it?
But after many months of sitting out there, despite the destructive racoons that visit every night, being in the grips of a flash-drought, and that spot only getting a minimal amount of sun every day,
the casual garden-art has been transformed into a trellis.

Very nice! And I like the water feature. That's not something we're going to have in our Sonoran desert yard.
ReplyDeleteThe water feature sure does attract wildlife! We keep a hose nearby because we do get stints of no rain and have to top it off sometimes and the tub that forms the basin is small enough to tip up out of its hole in the ground once in a while to give it a good rinsing out and fresh start.
DeleteI think I pissed off Google by downloading Mapquest. They wouldn't let me comment on my own post for a couple days and now my 'reading list' hasn't updated in five days even though I know people have been posting.
Google is temperamental. It made me Anonymous!
