Mount Spur, about 80 miles west of Anchorage, blew up today. The sky went absolutely black a few hours before
sunset and the city is covered in ash tonight, and it's still falling. It’s so quiet I can hear the
ash sliding off the roof. Not going to
be doing much hiking, or much of anything else, for a few days until this
settles down a little.
